The recording of mobility data is conducted across multiple scientific disciplines, including in human geography, sociology and transport research. In veterinary and public health, movement data are also collected as the spread of pathogens is often linked to the movement of animals or people.
This webpage provides a tool that will help researchers to conduct their own mobility research. The tool is called the MOBILITY RESEARCH App. A customized version of this App, the Poultry Hub TRACKING App is currently being used to track the movement of poultry traders in research studies conducted in the GCRF One Health Poultry Hub.
The MOBILITY RESEARCH App allow researchers to record in real-time spatial movement and survey data. The MOBILITY RESEARCH App can be adapted and modified for a range of objectives, thus providing a sustainable research tool that can be scaled up in a variety of scenarios.
